Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the official notification for Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026. This exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in Primary (Class 1 to 5) and Junior (Class 6 to 8) levels in Uttar Pradesh schools.

The online application process will start from 27 March 2026 and continue till 26 April 2026. Candidates must ensure they meet the required eligibility criteria before applying online.

The UPTET 2026 exam will be conducted from 02 July to 04 July 2026. The exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 150 marks with a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes.

Candidates who qualify UPTET become eligible to apply for teacher recruitment in Uttar Pradesh government schools. It is mandatory for teaching jobs in the state.
